Classes Offered

For Applicants

If you do not meet the math requirement with which to apply, you can take the Tech Math online course at www.skillsprep.org. Once you’ve completed this course, please mail a copy of the completion certificate with your application packet. This will satisfy the math requirement. (PLEASE NOTE: once you’ve clicked the “Register for Free” button to create an account, make sure to select the “I’m not affiliated” option. The other option does not apply to apprenticeship applicants.)

For Journeymen

Below is a list of some of the JOURNEYMAN CONTINUING EDUCATION classes that we offer through our training center.

  • CPR / First Aid
  • OSHA 10
  • NFPA 70E
  • Foreman Development
  • Confined Space Awareness Training
  • Taping & Cable Splicing
  • Forklift / GradAll training and certification
  • Scissor / Boom Lifts training and certification
  • California Advanced Lighting Control Training Program (CALCTP)… a 50 hour class (not including the 10-12 hours of online coursework) that will only be open to those who have completed their online pre-requisite coursework at: bit.ly/IBEW234CALCTP
  • Electrical Vehicle Infrastructure Training Program (EVITP)
